DIFFERENTIATION
Differentiation is a philosophy in which the teachers and school communities work to support the learning of all students through strategic assessment, thoughtful planning, and targeted, flexible instruction (Alberta Education, 2010). With the current diversity within classrooms students are coming to school with variety of backgrounds, wide range of interests, and increasingly varying learning preferences, strengths, and needs. This unit plan hopes to incorporate inclusion and differentiation strategies to support the learning of all students.
